The Voice of the Streets choir has begun to record their second song and are hoping to soon start their own online radio station.
The SKDGuatemala project in Guatemala City opened a new mentoring centre called Centro Opp in 2020. The aim of the centre is to provide a safe and loving environment for vulnerable youth to explore their talents and learn how to serve others in need.
In December 2021 the Centre formed a choir and the children produced their first song, which was released during Radio Christmas and became an instant hit.
The choir continue to practice and will soon be releasing their new song. Later this year the young people would, like to launch the Voz de la Calle (Voice of the Streets) online radio station from Centro Opp. The station will also begin to record podcasts about the work in both English and Spanish.
