You’ll probably be shocked to discover that according to British Airways, Britain alone hordes foreign coins worth more than £30 million every year, because banks and bureaux de change won’t exchange them. That’s an amazing amount of money being wasted that could be used to help save the life of a child!

And unless you take action to collect it, most of it will remain where it is for years to come: in drawers, jars and piggy banks waiting to be forgotten. Even among those who intend to take the coins abroad the following year to be spent, in the rush to get to the airport, they’re usually the last thing on the to-do list, and get left behind.

Street Kids Direct have linked up with Cash4Coins who donate 100% of the recovered cash from foreign coins and notes to our work with street children.

All you need to do is to collect your coins and notes, warp them well in bubble wrap, place them in a jiffy bag and post to P.O.Box 600, Amersham, Bucks, HP7 9WD and we will do the rest.  Alternatively you can save your coins and notes until you attend the next Street Kids Direct fundraiser and then hand them to one of the volunteers

Larger quantities?

No problem.  You can send in your coins and notes directly to Cash4Coins and select Street Kids Direct as your benefactor.  There is a free postage service for coin collections over 5kg but please follow the postge instructions on the Cash4Coins website.
