HELPING SAVE BRAYAN´S SIGHT
While working in one of the slum areas recently, we came across 11-year-old Brayan. He is an at-risk kid and so we started to get to know him and his family. He was extremely affectionate and never asked for anything, but it was clear the was not able to see through his left eye.
After a few trips to the eye foundation here in the city we discovered that we need to get him an urgent operation on his bad eye and provide medication and glasses for the eye he can use.
Brayan was telling Dunc this week that his teachers get frustrated with him (when he could go to school) as he took so long to study. But he can only read one letter at time and so it takes him 5-6 hours a night to do his homework.
Dunc asked Brayan what he likes to do with his free time. He looked into his lap and said he just spends his time trying to read and do his homework as he wants to be able to get a good job one day and support his family.
We are appealing for the £500 needed for his urgent operation this Thursday. If you can share this and help in anyway, Brayan would be so happy. THANK YOU.
