Sponsoring a child with Street Kids Direct is a effective way of providing regular support to a child at-risk in Guatemala or Honduras.
We ensure that 100% of your support will be used to give each child a protective framework for their development and resources to enable them to access full-time education and daily support in the mentoring centre. We also support every sponsored child with regular home visits, regular health checks, visits to their schools and emergency medical help.

Educational Success
When a child is sponsored and enters the SKD mentoring programme we ensure that they remain in full-time education and the majority achieve high grades and complete secondary school.
Reduction in Crime
Trials demonstrate that children who are supported and benefit from the mentoring programme will reduce the likelyhood of a child committing a crime by an average of 47%.
Drug use reduced
The mentoring programme shows us that children learn to make positive life choices and this means they will be less likely to use illegal drugs and discouirage the use of them in their home.
