Volunteering with Street Kids Direct
Are you passionate about high-risk children, can speak/understand Spanish and want to put your faith into action?
Then we currently have volunteering opportunities in Guatemala city with our partner projects SKDGuatemala, Puerta de Esperanza and GoGuatemala with short and long term positions available!
The Proyecto Alas project works with high-risk children and youth in a town called Talanga, an hour from the capital Tegucigalpa.
The project is looking for short and medium term volunteers to help with tutoring and homework help for those who speak Spanish. For those wishing to visit to get an idea of what we do, you are most welcome.

"Volunteering during a career-break for a year in Guatemala was the best time of my life…..it was challenging during COVID19 but the team were so supportive and to see the impact of the work with at-risk kids was inspirational. I would absolutely recommend it to anyone!"
Volunteering for SKD from Amersham has been a wonderful experience. Being able to work with and support the incredible team in Guatemala from my laptop in Amersham has opened my eyes to the difference you can make from your own country! Giving your time if you can’t give financially is another way I would encourage individuals to use their skills to help those in Central America!
